Welcome to our annual Ethics Month!
When pointing out what makes holding the CPCU designation and being involved in the CPCU Society so valuable, our commitment to ethical conduct is always one of the first qualities mentioned. This month serves to remind us all of the importance of ethics in our personal and professional lives. We all watch the news and if you are like me, cringe when hearing stories of others lack of ethical behavior. Take time this month to think about and appreciate the ethical standards you have in your life.
The AICPCU/IIA has come out with a new ethics related course available to all of us titled ‘Ethical Guidelines for Insurance Professionals’. The Institutes is trying to have the course eligible for Continuing Education credit in all states by mid-March. Another important feature to note is that it is ABSOUTELY FREE! Go to the following website for information:

There’s still time to register for this year’s Central Ohio Insurance I-Day taking place on March 24th at Villa Milano. Our chapter website has all of the information needed to register. All registrations must be made online and the deadline is March 17th.
Last month I mentioned the CPCU Society’s Annual Leadership Summit. This year’s event is being held in Phoenix, AZ from April 27th through May 1st. The National CPCU Society website has all of the information you need on registration and hotel reservations. Make sure to look into the Leadership Courses offered at the Summit.
Please make plans to join us at Monaco’s for our next luncheon on Tuesday, March 9th beginning at 11:30am. Our featured speaker will be Barbara Barresi, Ph.D. Executive Professor of Ethics and Leadership at Capital University and the Director of the Council for Ethical Leadership. RSVP today!
Hope to see you next week at the luncheon.
